LANSING, February 7, 2019 -- At the core of TOD’s Vision are its members. The effectiveness of this ministry thrives by having strong, committed membership, and of course, being able to take care of the membership body. Pastor Larry Trice is pleased to announce Elderess Esther McClain will now serve the ministry as Membership Coordinator. Working in the administrative office, McClain and her team will be the first contact for new members joining, and assist them in getting acclimated to their new family. The Membership Intake team and The Net team will be fusing together to provide additional support to members and new family members, and will serve under McClain’s leadership.
McClain joined the Tabernacle of David in November of 2009 and immediately started serving as an assistant to the director of the training center for the first year. One of her most prominent leadership roles was liaison for Ministerial Alliance, where she became passionate about caring for the needs of God’s people. She will continue to serve in the women’s ministry. A retiree from Michigan Education Association, she enjoys having time to serve God and help share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Previously holding this position was Nabendae Amunga, who served for several years and was instrumental in updating and maintaining membership records, as well as creating more efficient systems of alerting making Pastor Trice, Ministerial Alliance and the body of those who were sick & shut in or bereaved. She will continue serving in the Administrative Office as Media & Systems Coordinator. We’re so thankful for her faithfulness and excellence!
Please join Pastor Trice, Lady Lene’a & the entire TOD family in congratulating Eld. Esther McClain!
Pastor Larry Trice, Jr. and the Tabernacle of David Board of Directors are both sad, but excited to announce a major transition within the ministry. After 7 years of dedicated service, Hope Lovell (left) will be transitioning from the Board of Directors. Since 2005, Lovell has been an active member of Tabernacle of David, quickly buying into the Vision for excellence and making strides to bring the ministry there. She was instrumental in the establishment of the the LMTS Childcare Center, and the HD upgrades for the buildings. Lovell is a social entrepreneur committed to building programs that serve vulnerable individuals and marginalized communities. In that spirit, her transition will allow her to focus her time expanding the platform for Grand Meres Club, and offering more consultation to help young aspiring entrepreneurs build their business, as well as bring them closer to Christ. She will also be transitioning from one board to another: the Ingham County Health Centers. While business is her passion, her heart is in building her family, with whom she shares with her loving husband, Donald and three beautiful children. All will continue to see Lovell serving faithfully as a member of TOD.
Filling Lovell’s position is Tamera Carter (right) . Carter has been a member of TOD since 2015, and serves in our Guest Services ministry, as well as fulfilling multiple leadership roles within the Designed for Praise Dance ministry. Carter has been in the financial industry for over 11 years. Presently, she is the Member Experience Manager for both the Dimondale Branch and the Downtown Lansing Branch at Lake Trust Credit Union. Tamera holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Law and Society from Michigan State University, and is looking forward to completing her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Cornerstone University this May.
Please join Pastor Trice, the Board of Directors, and the entire TOD Family in congratulating these two phenomenal women!
